about

James Asher created library music before embarking on commercial recordings. It was during this that he had the good fortune to meet Alan Howe, who at the time worked for the publishers DeWolfe in Wardour Street, London. James recorded an album in 1980 for them called Impetus which Alan produced, which included the session trumpet player who also recorded the trumpet part for Penny Lane by the Beatles.
40 years later Asher happened on discovering Alan Howe via Facebook. The two met up, had fun exchanging musical ideas and jointly concocted tracks, of which this EP represents the first fruits.
Alan`s fluid and expressive guitar playing blends with Asher`s energetic drums and melodic keyboards to form a pleasing whole. The mood is thoughtful, but the flavour is energetic.
